Does any of this sound familiar?

1

Do you struggle to get on the same page with your spouse about money?

2

Is it hard to align on a plan for your financial future and day-to-day spending?

3

Have you tried budgeting tools that just didn't stick?

You're not alone. The problem usually isn't discipline. It's the system.

The DIY Budget App and Program gives families an all-in-one solution built on Biblical money principles: real-time spending insights, easy monthly reviews, and practical coaching that replaces friction and complexity with clarity through a simple plan and process that actually works.

With the DIY Budget App and Program, you can remove the exhaustive process of data gathering, complex systems, and marital tension around finances. Return to the foundation of shared financial goals, implement a simple budget plan you both follow, and develop spending habits that create more unity in your marriage now and more freedom into the future.

The Tool — Simple by design. Intentionally not complicated.

This is a budget tool, not a financial platform. There are no investment trackers, no net worth dashboards, no subscription sync managers. There is a budget, categories, and transactions. That is it.

  • Shared real-time dashboard. Both spouses see the same numbers.
  • Digital envelope budgeting with visual progress bars per category
  • Giving and tithe category built in from the start
  • Month-over-month rollover settings per category
  • Simple join code to link spouses under one household
  • Installs on your phone like an app. No app store required.
  • Your data stays with you. No bank access. No third parties.

Why Scott? Built by someone who has actually done it.

In 2021, Scott and Katy paid off their first home and became fully debt-free, all while never making more than $100,000 in household income. Now Scott wants to help other couples live in that same freedom: gaining control of their finances and telling their money where they want it to go.

Before building this program, Scott and Katy struggled to implement effective systems to manage their budget and make good choices based on accurate data.

"It was way easier when I was single."

But as a married couple, they struggled to have money in the bank even as income increased, and they didn't always know when to be strict and when to breathe. After 17 years helping enterprise companies implement digital systems, Scott built this app for his wife and himself to solve that exact problem. It worked. Now he wants to help others take control of their financial future with as little friction as possible.

Scott has an MBA and is trained in Crown Financial and Financial Peace principles. He loves financial planning and investments, and he is not incentivized by any outside program. His only goal is to help you gain clarity, confidence, and more peace of mind around your family's finances.

"If it were up to me, I'd go back to a fully cash folder model. But in a world of digital companies and a desire for marital unity, that's just not practical. The DIY Budget App is the simplest way to implement a system that actually works."
We paid off our mortgage in 2021 and became fully debt free and never had a household income over $100,000. We were able to do it not because of our income, but because of a simple system that gave us clarity. I built this tool so other couples could have the same thing. — Scott Clifton, Founder
